are just some of the many accomplishments and experiences that
enrich Katherine's music.
Katherine
currently has two recordings available. Her latest release
Leda & the Swan, features an expressive performance of
her original compositions for piano, oboe, flute and cello.
Crystal Canyon, her well-loved debut recording of original
solo piano compositions was released in 1991.
Active
in the Colorado Springs community for over 35 years, Katherine
has an extensive history of dedicated community service. She
served on the Colorado Springs City Council for 6 years, and
the Colorado Commission for Higher Education. She has served
as president of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where she founded
the docent education program and directed the successful multi-million
dollar capital campaign to renovate the Zoo. Katherine has
also served terms as President of the Junior League, and the
Women's Forum of Colorado.
Presently,
Katherine is a trustee of the Colorado Nature Conservancy
and the Pikes Peak Community Foundation. She serves on the
steering committee of the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute,
and serves as director of UMB bank, and an honorary trustee
of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Katherine also advises numerous
non-profit organizations on fund raising.
Katherine
looks forward to spending more time pursuing her many interests
- weaving custom designed textiles, painting, hiking, biking,
and composing.
